"Walrus hunting in northern Foxe Basin was monitored during the summers of 1982, 1983 and 1984. Hunting techniques and effort were recorded, biological samples and measurements were collected from landed animals, and a boat and helicopter reconnaissance were done to obtain preliminary information on distribution and abundance. This report presents a summary of information collected during these hunts and surveys. Past and present hunting information is discussed, as well as trends in distribution and abundance"--Abstract, page iv.
