"The Department of National Defence (DND) recently completed a three-year project at the Defence Research Establishment Suffield (DRES) to safely destroy old chemical warfare agent waste which has been stored for many years on the DRES Experimental Proving Ground range. This project, codenamed Swiftsure, was the culmination of numerous clean-up and chemical agent disposal programs which have been on-going at DRES since World War II"--Introduction, page 1.
