"In ongoing efforts to reduce red tape, AAFC and its portfolio partners have made headway through digitalization, eliminating duplicative and unnecessary burden, developing clearer guidance, and modernizing regulatory frameworks. AAFC’s Red Tape Progress Report includes 18 initiatives, 6 of which have been achieved, 12 are ongoing or upcoming that include proposed legislative modernization. Ofthe ongoing initiatives underway, most are anticipated to be completed within the next 2 years"--Executive Summary, page [6].
