Contaminant fate modelling : Athabasca, Wapiti and Smoky Rivers / prepared for the Northern River Basins Study under project 2381-D1 by Golder Associates Ltd.R71-49/3-112E-PDF

"Numerical models of the transport and fate of environmental chemicals were developed and a first level of calibration conducted for the Athabasca and Wapiti/Smoky Rivers. The models were developed using the USEPA WASP modelling system. The models were structured as one dimensional (longitudinal) models with separate, interacting water column and bed sediment compartments. Seven selected organic chemicals were simulated over a two year period, 1992-1993 for the Athabasca River and 1990-1991 for the Wapiti/Smoky River system"--Report summary.
