"Samples of effluents discharging into the Alberta northern river basins were collected, extracted by solid phase extraction and fractionated before analysis by coupled gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy. Observed organic contaminants were characterized and quantified. The results are compared to results of previous analyses of these effluents. Chromatograms characteristic of the contaminants present are also presented"--Report summary.
