520 |a"Eastern Sand Darter (Ammocrypta pellucida) is a small-bodied freshwater fish species that has experienced several extirpations across its range in Canada. A record from 1928 indicates that Eastern Sand Darter historically occupied the Ausable River in the Lake Huron drainage, Ontario; however, there have been no recorded detections since, despite significant sampling effort. In an effort to confirm its absence in the Ausable River and allow comparisons with data collected in 2007, targeted fish and habitat sampling was performed in 2017"--Abstract, page v.
