« Le 16 avril 2024, vers 10 h 45, heure avancée des Rocheuses, un gazoduc de 36 po (914 mm) appartenant à NOVA Gas Transmission Ltd. et transportant du gaz naturel non corrosif s'est rompu à environ 36,5 km au nord-ouest d'Edson (Alberta). À la suite de la rupture, le gaz naturel s'est enflammé, ce qui a provoqué une explosion et un incendie. Environ 5 980 000 m³ de gaz naturel ont été rejetés. Il n'y a eu aucun blessé, et aucune évacuation des membres du public n'a été requise » -- Page 5.
