"...This report reviews the various water treatment technologies available to remove the microorganisms from raw water supplies. Discussion of each technology included the process overview, performance, design consideration, operating and maintenance aspects, costs and status of technology development. Specific considerations were taken to those technologies applicable for small community systems located in the NRBS area. Also, the impacts of important microorganisms and relevant regulations were examined to highlight the significance and requirements of removing microorganisms from water treatment processes"--Report summary.
