"The Benefits Delivery Modernization programme is an information technology (IT) project that aims to migrate the systems used to deliver Old Age Security (OAS), Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, to a cloud-based platform and to transform the user experience to meet the needs of diverse groups. Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) is leading this modernization project – the largest of its kind undertaken to date by the federal government. The project had an initial cost estimate of $1.75 billion, with completion scheduled for 2030"--Introduction, page 4.
