"This open file presents whole-rock lithogeochemical and portable X-Ray Fluorescence spectrometry (pXRF) data from the Meliadine gold district (MGD), Nunavut, Canada. The study was completed under the auspices of the Targeted Geoscience Initiative (TGI)-4 program in an effort to define and map the hydrothermal footprint at the MGD. Samples were collected from exploration drill core and outcrop along the newly constructed all-season road that links Rankin Inlet with the Meliadine Exploration camp (Fig. 1)"--Introduction, page [3].
