"At 1220 Mountain Standard Time on 10 June 2024, the Rocking Star Adventures Ltd. Cessna U206G aircraft (registration C-GRSA, serial number U20606586) departed Haines Junction Aerodrome (CYHT), Yukon, on a local visual flight rules sightseeing flight to the Kluane National Park and Reserve of Canada, Yukon, with the pilot and 5 passengers on board. At 1351, during the right downwind leg of a visual approach to land on Runway 23 at CYHT, the aircraft's engine experienced a complete loss of power. The pilot then initiated a steep right turn to align the aircraft with Runway 23. Subsequently, the aircraft entered an accelerated aerodynamic stall, impacted the aerodrome infield in a slight right-wing-low, flat-pitch attitude, and came to rest inverted. The pilot and 4 passengers were seriously injured; 1 passenger was fatally injured. The aircraft was substantially damaged"--Summary, page 5.
