"An effort is made to demonstrate the reliability of the Federal Forest Fire Danger Tables as an index of the probability of a fire starting. The data for 1961 is the basis for the study of the Kamloops, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Nelson and Vancouver Forest Districts. In order to illustrate the reliability of the index to new fire starts, a graph of the cumulative percentage of fires in each danger class against the cumulative percentage of days in each class was used"--Abstract.
