"This Climatic Data Sheet should be considered a supplement to CIR 2994 "Winter Season Snowfall Data" which was published in December 1957. CIR 2994 listed averages and extremes of winter snowfall at synoptic or first order weather reporting stations and contained a list of bibliographic references to snowfall and snow cover in Canada. Methods of measuring snowfall and the practices followed in other countries are also discussed in the circular"--Page [1].
