"Shortface Lanx (Fisherola nuttallii) was assessed Endangered by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) in 2016, with limited survey effort conducted subsequently. A survey was conducted in 2025 to determine if the species was still present at previously known sites and if it could be found at new ones. A total of 172 Shortface Lanx were found at six sites in the Columbia River from Genelle in the north to 27.7 km, south, within 4 km of the Canada-US border. Ashy Pebblesnail (Fluminicola fuscus) was found at most, but not all, sites surveyed"--Abstract, page vi.
