Forests and climate change : report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts / John Williamson, chair.XC16-1/1-451-4E-PDF

"The Commissioner for the Environment and Sustainable Development reported in a 2023 performance audit that Natural Resources Canada, working with Environment and Climate Change Canada, did not adequately design and implement the federal program to plant 2 billion trees. The federal government cancelled its program on 4 November 2025. This now (moot) report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts was nonetheless presented in the House of Commons. It includes recommendations with no practical relevance given the program was abandoned but fulfills the committee's work to consider this audit"--Provided by publisher.
