"This paper attempts to develop a statistical model capable of estimating net long-wave radiation over water. Using a multiple stepwise regression technique eight regression models were produced incorporating pre-determined meteorological variables (air temperature, water temperature, and vapour pressure). The report concludes by comparing the regression equation developed here with another estimating equation. The results might serve as a model for predicting net long-wave radiation over water for mid-latitude Canadian locations"--Abstract.
