Spiritwood buried valley 3D geological modelling – part of a multidisciplinary aquifer characterization workflow / C.E. Logan, M.J. Hinton, D.R. Sharpe, G.A. Oldenborger, H.A.J. Russell, and A.J.M. Pugin.M183-2/7866E-PDF

"This Open File reports on the development of a 3D digital geological model of the Spiritwood buried valley in southwestern Manitoba and along the border of North Dakota. The primary aims of the model are to map the bedrock surface and to delineate the hydrostratigraphic architecture of sediments filling the Spiritwood buried valley, in particular the distribution of buried-valley and inter-till aquifers within the widespread regional till aquitards. The 3D model will support improved insight into groundwater flow dynamics and groundwater resources of the Spiritwood buried valley through development of a hydrogeological model"--Introduction, page 1.
