"By arrangement of the Parks Branch of the Department of Interior and the Fish Culture Branch of the Department of Fisheries the author made a brief examination of Clear lake in the Riding Mountain Park, in the period May 27-June 12, 1935. The examination included observations of the size and nature of the lake basin, certain physical and chemical conditions in the water, the nature and amounts of plankton and bottom fauna present and the various species of fish in the lake. Earlier reports on the lake by various persons were also examined with care. In the following report the various findings are first recorded, there follows a discussion of the general situation and finally recommendations for a possible fish cultural procedure, since this was the reason for the investigation"--Page [1].
