"During the summer and autumn of 1930 a number of measurements were made of adult oysters from several different beds, of oysters known to be in their second summer and of that year's spat. All these oysters were collected in Bideford river and the investigation was carried out at the Prince Edward Island Marine Station"--Page [1].
