Follow-up study of gender based plus analysis in the Government of Canada : report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts / John Williamson, chair.: XC16-1/1-451-5E-PDF
"The Auditor General of Canada found in a 2022 performance audit that the federal government does not know whether its use of gender-based analysis plus (GBA+) is achieving improved equality outcomes for diverse groups of people. Key findings of the audit include: actions taken to identify and address barriers to doing GBA+ did not go far enough; one of the challenges identified by most departments and agencies to applying GBA+ was data availability; Women and Gender Equality Canada conducted some monitoring and reporting on the progress of GBA+ implementation across all of government, however, the department did not use all the available information sources; the Privy Council Office and the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat did not share information with Women and Gender Equality Canada that would help it to monitor progress on implementation over time. This report of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts makes 8 recommendations to ensure that the Auditor General's recommendations are adequately addressed, and that the Government of Canada provide evidence of this to the Committee through progress reports"--Provided by publisher.
