"This document describes the data and methods used to analyze the status of green sea urchin (Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis) stocks in sea urchin fishing areas in Quebec’s coastal waters in 2024, in order to support the assessment of these stocks in the Estuary and northern Gulf of St. Lawrence. The status of sea urchin populations was assessed using the known data on landings and fishing effort from 2002 to 2024, information from a fishery-independent survey in the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord (subarea 9-1), and size measurements"--Abstract, page vii.
