"This Flight Test Guide contains the scope of exercises that may be conducted during a Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC). A PPC can be used for the purposes of meeting the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) requirement for initial or recurrent proficiency checks, issuing or maintaining an instrument rating, issuing an Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL-H) license, adding a type rating to a license and completing a 'qualifying flight' for a type rating on a helicopter with a minimum flight crew requirement of one pilot"--Scope and purpose, page 8.
