"The plerocercoids of Triaenophorus crassus found encysted in the flesh of fishes of the genus Leucichthys and of the whitefish Coregonus clupeaformis cause these fishes in many Canadian lakes to be unmarketable. This study is a search for methods of breaking the life cycle of this cestode by attacking the free living stage of the parasite, using both chemicals and electricity"--Abstract.
