"Silvergray Rockfish (Sebastes brevispinis) is a commercially important species of rockfish that is found over rocky-bottom habitats and forms loose aggregations with other rockfish species a few metres off the sea floor. Silvergray Rockfish has the sixth largest single-species quota of rockfish on the west coast of Canada. Key results from the stock assessment for the population at the beginning of 2026 in coastal waters of BC (Groundfish Management Areas 3CD5ABCDE) are reported here. Harvest advice was requested to determine if current harvest levels are sustainable and compliant with DFO’s Decision-making Framework Incorporating the Precautionary Approach (DFO 2009)"--Context, page [1].
