Annual index of publications

Each fiscal year, departments and agencies must submit a list of all the publications they have produced. This requirement applies to departments and other portions of the federal public administration as set out in Schedules I, I.1 and II of the Financial Administration Act, unless excluded by specific acts, regulations or orders in council.

Requirements 4.1.55 to 4.1.60 of the Directive on the Management of Communications and Federal Identity outline the full requirements.

Call-out for submissions

Government of Canada Publications will send a call-out for submissions of annual indexes to all departments and agencies at the start of each fiscal year. This call-out outlines the deadline for submissions and includes templates and instructions to assist departments and agencies in completing the index.
