Where to position your ISBN and catalogue number

If the publication is a book or book-like publication, the ISBN and catalogue number normally appear on the left side of the verso of the title page, following the copyright line, like this:

© 2022 HIS MAJESTY THE KING IN RIGHT OF CANADA as represented by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

ISBN 978-0-660-07662-1

Make sure you print the identifying numbers accurately and legibly.

The actual location of these two numbers can vary. For example, they can appear on the face of a DVD or on the back of a pamphlet.
