4901 |aReport of the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development
5203 |aOn September 29, 2010, the House of Commons Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development (hereinafter the Committee) passed a motion to study the terms and conditions of the new Nutrition North Canada (NNC) program that is being gradually phased-in to replace the existing Food Mail program. As part of its study, the Committee held meetings in November and December 2010, in which it heard from a broad range of witnesses, including: government officials; the transportation industry; retailers; and representatives from northern communities. This report summarizes the testimony from these hearings and presents the Committee’s observations and recommendations.
