Benthos and bottom sediment field collections, upper Athabasca River, April to May, 1992 / by R. L. & L. Environmental Services Ltd. : R71-49/3-2E

The objective of this pilot project was to obtain samples of benthic macroinvertebrates, epilithon (algae, bacteria and fungi that cover stones in aquatic systems) and sediments from six sites in the Athabasca River. These samples will be analyzed for organic compound (e.g., dioxins, furans, chlorophenols, and PCBs), resin acids, metals (e.g., arsenic, vanadium, copper, chromium, lead, zinc, and methyl mercury) and stable isotopes.--Page 1
