Study No. 10. Editor, Michael Cassidy. The proposals developed by the researchers in this volume are the result of a careful analysis of many issues that cover areas from voting and political rights, to direct democracy, to the registration of voters and election administration. These proposals address the need for policies which, while based on past experience and on practice in other jurisdictions, try to implement the ideal solution for Canada the need to balance the various conflicting interests while dealing with the ensuing difficulties of implementation.
