This report summarizes discussions and conclusions from a two-day workshop on water quality modelling approaches for the Peace and Athabasca Rivers held March 22 and 23, 1993 at the National Hydrology Research Institute, Saskatoon. The workshop brought together experts in riverine ecology and water quality modelling. Representatives of government, the private sector and academic communities met with the goal of reviewing and assessing available modelling approaches for estimating the impact of oxygen-consuming waste and nutrient loadings on water quality of the Peace and Athabasca river systems.--Study perspective
