This report summarizes the methodology and results of a simulation that examines the impact of extending Unemployment Insurance coverage to weeks of self-employment and weeks with short hours of employment (less than 15), which are not now covered by Unemployment Insurance. Specifically, we inquire as to: 1) Which socio-demographic groups would most benefit from such a policy change? and 2) How would aggregate income inequality be affected?--Abstract
