Cumulative impacts within the northern river basins / by Frederick J. Wrona et al. : R71-49/4-11E

The purpose of this report is to provide an overall synthesis and to address Study Board Questions: what predictive tools are required to determine the cumulative effects of man-made discharges on the water and aquatic environment?, and what are the cumulative effects of man-made discharges on the water and aquatic environment? More specifically this report: provides an overview of the key scientific findings of the NRBS in the context of the Study's guiding questions and the eight research components; provides an integrated interpretation of the key findings in the context of cumulative effects; and, provides research, monitoring and assessment recommendations related to future aquatic ecosystem management.--Summary
