This report provides a review of the suspended sediment regime of the rivers in the NRBS area and examines the implications for sediment-associated contaminant dynamics... The particular emphasis of the report is on the sediment-associated contaminants derived from point-source industrial activities related to the production of pulp and paper. In addition, natural and anthropogenic sources of hydrocarbon contamination are also examined.--Introduction
