Assessing pulp mill contamination using morphological deformities in chironomid larvae (Diptera chironomidae) : upper Athabasca River, April 1992 / by W. F. Warwick. : R71-49/3-140E

The goal of this project was to provide baseline information on the occurrence and spatial distribution of chironomid deformities in depositional areas of the upper Athabasca River. These data were supplemented by identification and counts of individual chironomid taxa. The technique allowed an evaluation of spatial trends in the incidence of deformities relative to known point source effluents in the upper Athabasca River.--Study perspective
