Distribution, survival, and numbers of Lesser Snow Geese of the Western Canadian Arctic and Wrangel Island, Russia / Edited by Richard H. Kerbes, Katherine M. Meeres and James E. Hines. : CW69-1/98E

Improved and updated information was needed on the year-round distribution, survival rates, and the size of the Western Canadian Arctic and Wrangel Island populations. Those objectives were addressed by a cooperative neckbanding and monitoring program from 1987 to 1992, an analysis of recoveries of legbanded geese for the 1950s-1980s, and inventories of the geese on their nesting colonies. This Occasional paper presents the results and management recommendations arising from that work.--Page 4
