5203 |aThe specific goals of this study were to 1) assess inter-specific similarities in stream habitat associations among the many fish species occurring in Ontario watersheds, 2) examine the relationship between patterns in habitat association and life history and ecological characteristics offish species as a basis for grouping species, and 3) use those results to guide derivation of a habitat suitability matrix for use in a stream habitat assessment model, giving particular attention to thermal preferences.
