The full-employment objective in Canada, 1945-85: historical, conceptual, and comparative perspectives / by Robert M. Campbell. : EC22-175/1991E
In this study the author suggests that the issue of unemployment has had decreasing "policy resonance" in recent years and seeks to explain why a political commitment to full employment has never been meaningfully operationalized in Canada. This study gives a lively and insightful sense of Canada's employment policy experience. It also suggests where Canada might go in altering its approaches to the full-employment objective.
