Economic and social impacts of immigration : a research report prepared for the Economic Council of Canada / by Neil Swan et al.  : EC22-176/1991E

Recent declines in the birth rate have raised the question of whether immigration should be increased in order to sustain population growth. The report addresses this question and assesses the advantages and disadvantages of immigration. The report looks at : the fear of unemployment, racial friction, benefits to the host population, managing increasing diversity, multiculturalism, and other issues.
