This report begins by providing some background information on Canada’s fluid milk sector in Chapter 2. Chapter 3 describes the methodology used to develop and apply energy efficiency and cost-related benchmarks. These benchmarks are established at the plant level and by stage of production. The principal findings are reported in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 provides a brief summary of potential energy saving ideas.
