This manual provides a guide to routine maintenance tasks for multi-unit residential buildings. Tasks are to be performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. It also contains troubleshooting information to help diagnose problems; guidance for making minor repairs and handling preventive maintenance; and guidelines on bringing in outside contractors and dealing with tenants. The aim is to reduce the cost of operating such buildings, thereby improving affordability for tenants while sustaining Canada’s stock of apartment buildings.
