This report describes the objectives of the Canadian Coast Guard’s major programs: navigation aids, waterways management, environmental response, icebreaking, marine communications and traffic services, and search and rescue. It also identifies the levels of service for each program, such as providing buoys and fog horns, maintaining commercial shipping channels, monitoring marine pollution, offering icebreaking services, screening foreign vessels, and search and rescue assistance. Includes an annex showing icebreaking commitments by geographic location.
