5203 |aOn November 2, 2001, the Canadian Centre for Foreign Policy Development, in partnership with the Institute of International Education, organized a roundtable on New Directions in U.S. Foreign Policy. The Roundtable was the last of six discussions that took place in the U.S. and Canada over an eight month period. As in previous discussion, participants examined trends and changes in U.S. foreign policy, including U.S. relations with other major powers. The Denver Roundtable also addressed energy and environment issues and trends. This was the only discussion to assess the implications of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S.
