This educational booklet tells the story of the Allied forces’ ill-fated raid on Dieppe, France, on August 19, 1942. Part of a collection of printed materials commemorating the Year of the Veteran, it is intended to honour and celebrate the service and sacrifice of Canadian veterans in the 20th century. Contains a data table, a historical map, and photographs, as well as data on the size of each participating Canadian unit, including the number of fatal casualties.
