This report presents findings from research comparing employment equity policies in Canada's 10 provinces and the federal government. We approach the issue of employment equity from the standpoint of challenging systemic oppression, which is understood to be structured historically and manifest in a variety of societal structures and ideological constructs, creating patterns of denial of access to equality to designated groups in Canadian society.--Page 1
