The purpose of this project was to explore the experiences of women who had been trafficked into Canada from the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. The objectives were: explore the circumstances that lead Slavic women to migrate to Canada for the purposes of sex work; identify the type and nature of their work when they arrive in Canada; determine the conditions that lead them to remain in or change their original working situation; explore difficulties with migration or in the workplace after coming to Canada; identify the health and social services used by the women; document the gaps in services available to these women; make recommendations to improve policy for the delivery of health and social services for these women.--Executive summary;
