The surveys show that Canadian residents and U.S. visitors spent $11.7 billion on nature-related activities in Canada during 1996. The report examines the economic impacts of these expenditures for Canada, the provinces and the Yukon, in terms of contributions to GDP, jobs sustained, and tax revenues.
