520 |a"In 2008-2009, the Strategic Activities Program (SAP) was introduced to enable timely initiatives that support the department’s strategic outcomes. Specifically, the program seeks to inform IC’s policy development, program development and management practices. The potential recipients of SAP contributions can include research institutions and organizations, legal entities including incorporated entities, partnerships, cooperatives, trusts, associations and not-for-profit corporations. Since inception, five projects have been funded through the program, totalling $255,000. In accordance with the Treasury Board Policy on Evaluation and the Directive on the Evaluation Function, the purpose of this evaluation was to assess the core issues of relevance and performance of SAP. The evaluation findings and conclusions are based on the analysis of multiple lines of evidence. The methodology included a document review, project file review, and interviews”--Executive summary.
