Butternut conservation : planning for the future. : Fo4-61/2015
"Butternut (Juglans cinerea) is a native tree species of central and eastern North America that is under serious threat from an introduced fungal disease (Ophiognomonia clavigignenti-juglandacearum). In Canada, butternut can be found in southern Quebec and Ontario and in New Brunswick. The butternut populations in New Brunswick are considered to be the most genetically diverse and contain some of the last remaining uninfected butternut trees in North America."--p. [1].
