This working paper constitutes the 1st phase (Phase (0)) in the potential development of box crab fisheries in B.C.: synthesizing available biological and fisheries information on the target and similar species, identifying missing information, and providing potential management advice. The sources of the collected information are published books and papers, unpublished reports, Fisheries and Oceans Canada's trawling databases, Oregon's commercial fishery, and experimental fisheries or surveys in California, Oregon, B.C. and Alaska.
