"The object of this Bulletin is to describe in some detail the general care and maintenance of a musical instrument collection. This information is intended not only for the museum which may have large holdings of musical instruments but also for the smaller establishment which may have only one or two items. The care of the collection from the acquisition of the items right through to their cleaning, care and maintenance is described and attention is given to complete and thorough documentation and to the problems of display and storage. Lists of supplies and references are also included"--Abstract.
